We defend the public university!
Today, 20/10/2008, college students of the University of Catania spontaneously decided to occupy the main hall of the Faculty of Political Science, outraged by Decree-Law 133 (Gelmini), which would sanction the death of the right to education. In protest at the indifference and misinformation general, all students of the University of Catania are invited to participate in the protest, this time to gather and debate, in which students can relate to, clarify their doubts through a healthy debate that we hope will include ; the faculty, in addition, of course, the students themselves.
To move public opinion, the first step toward change must start from us information is the basis of our arguments , we must be sure of what we want and because of our protest . I invite all those who are uninformed, to begin to read up through this link .
Tomorrow morning, 21/10/2008, to inform the largest possible number of students and to widen the protest to the entire university, in the main hall of the Faculty of Political Science organized a meeting that will will involve not only of students, researchers, teachers and union leaders that will show you the entire contents of the reform Gelmini. At the end of the assembly will spread a representative document of the Assembly which will be decided in the forms of protest to be taken.
This is just the initial post, which declares the prelude to a change. The blog will be updated as much as possible, because as we said before, information is the basis of our arguments .
